Abstract:
The embodiments of the present application provide a switching ensuring method, a terminal device, and a network device. When there is no N26 interface between a 5GC and an EPC and the terminal device cannot determine whether the network device supports the absence of the N26 interface, the terminal device initiates an attach procedure carrying a switching identifier, thereby ensuring the consistency of IP addresses of a session. The method comprises: when the terminal device accesses a second network from a first network, the terminal device sending a TAU request message to the network device, the TAU request message comprising GUTI information, the network device being used for the second network, the first network and the second network being networks under different communication protocol versions; the terminal device receiving a TAU reject message sent by the network device with respect to the TAU request message; and after receiving the TAU reject message, the terminal device sending, to the network device, an attach request carrying the switching identifier.
