Abstract:
The embodiments of the present disclosure disclose a switching instruction method and apparatus, a device, a chip system, and a storage medium, which can be applied to a communication system. The method comprises: in response to determining that a terminal device needs to switch to a target cell, sending a first instruction message to the terminal device, the first instruction message being used for instructing the terminal device to switch to the target cell, and the target cell being determined via a beam measurement result. Because the beam measurement result is an L1 measurement result, and a cell measurement result does not need to be obtained via L3 processing, and because the beam measurement result does not rely on RRC signaling to instruct switching, implementing the method of the present disclosure effectively reduces switching instruction time overhead and effectively improves switching efficiency.
