Abstract:

A switching power supply apparatus having a structure in which a multilayer board or a laminated plate-like conductor is used as a winding of a transformer, thereby achieving a reduced volume of the transformer, an enhanced efficiency, a reduced size and a reduced amount of noise. The switching power supply apparatus is configured by connecting a series combination of two or more capacitors (23,24,25,26) to input terminals (22a,22b) of two or more switching power supplies having switching elements (27,28,29,30), transformers (31,32), and rectifying elements (33,34,37,38). The switching power supply apparatus uses, as its input voltages, voltages obtained by the capacitors (23-26) and combines and outputs, at common output terminals (40a,40b), voltages produced by the two or more switching power supplies. The transformers (31,32) have their windings prepared by overlaying coils comprising plate-like conductors. This can suppress noise conveyance via the windings and achieve a stable output characteristic.
