Title:
SWITCHING POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2005/020416
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A sync rectifier circuit of winding voltage detection system using resistor elements is provided on the secondary side of a complex resonance type converter so as to achieve a high power conversion efficiency and simplify the circuit arrangement, thereby reducing the circuit scale. An insulation converter transformer (PIT) has an enlarged gap length and a coupling coefficient of the order of 0.8, and the turn numbers of a primary winding (N1) and second windings (N2A,N2B) of the PIT are set such that the levels of induced voltages of the secondary windings are equal to or smaller than 2V/T. This allows the flux density of the core of the PIT to be equal to or smaller than a predetermined value, thereby causing the rectified current on the secondary side to be in a continuous mode even under a heavy load condition. Moreover, inductors (Ld,Lo) are inserted into the rectified-current paths of the secondary side so that the reverse electromotive force of the inductors suppresses a reverse current that would otherwise occur in the rectified current, thereby further reducing the reactive power. Furthermore, the insertion of the inductor (Lo) suppresses the high frequency noise that would otherwise overlap with the secondary side current output voltage (E0).
