Abstract:
In a calibration step, with a switching power supply device 100 operated at a current that is to trigger overcurrent protection during normal operation of the switching power supply device 100, a search processing unit 220 changes a set value DSET and searches for a critical value corresponding to a boundary determining whether or not the overcurrent protection is to be triggered. In the calibration step, a digital processor 200 reads the set value DSET, which is based on the critical value searched for by the search processing unit 220, into a non-volatile memory 210. During normal operation of the switching power supply device 100, the digital processor 200 reads the set value DSET from the non-volatile memory 210 and sets said value in an overcurrent detection circuit 130.
