Abstract:
The snubber energy in a power switching element of a switching power supply device is effectively regenerated. The switching power supply device is configured such that a DC voltage input from input terminals (1, 2) is once converted to an AC voltage of several tens to several hundreds of kHz by a power switching element (Q1) driven to turn on/off and a transformer (T1) and then the converted AC voltage is rectified by a diode (D5) and a capacitor (C5) to obtain a DC output at output terminals (3, 4). When the power switching element (Q1) is in the off-state, snubber energy is absorbed into a capacitor (C1) that is connected through a diode (D1) to a primary winding (n1). When the power switching element (Q1) is in the on-state, a series circuit of diodes (D2, D3) and an inductor (L1) is connected between the connection point between the capacitor (C1) and the diode (D1) and a common line (12), and in the next off-period of the power switching element (Q1), the snubber energy absorbed in the capacitor (C1) is regenerated between the common line (12) and a power supply line (11) through the inductor (L1).
