Abstract:
A switching power supply device (101) comprises: switching elements (Q1, Q2) for generating switching current flowing to an inductor (L1); a switching control circuit (1); and an inductor current detecting circuit (2) for detecting current flowing to the inductor (L1). The inductor current detecting circuit (2) is configured from a time constant circuit having a detection capacitor (C1) and a detection resistor (R1) that are connected in series, and is connected in parallel to the inductor (L1). The time constant of the inductor current detecting circuit (2) has the property of varying according to frequency or temperature, thereby compensating for changes in the equivalent series resistance (Rs) of the inductor (L1) relating to frequency or to temperature.
