Abstract:
A switching power supply device (1) comprises: a voltage converter (6) including switching elements (21, 22); and a control unit (50) that controls the voltage converter (6) and that applies PWM signals to the switching elements (21, 22). The voltage converter (6) performs a boost operation in response to the PWM signals applied from the control unit (50). When the voltage converter (6) is caused to perform the boost operation, if a first conduction path (81A) is in a low voltage state, the control unit (50) increases the duty of the PWM signals in a range not lower than a predetermined lower limit value. The lower limit value is greater than 0 but less than 1.
