Abstract:
[PROBLEMS] A long-time transmission interruption and video disturbance occur
when switching from packetized video information transmitted through a conventional
duplexed transmission path formed by a currently used system and a backup system
to another video information transmitted. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A switching
system is formed by a transmission device and a transmission control device.
The transmission device includes a first system acquisition unit for acquiring
one of the duplexed information, i.e., information which is duplexed when transmitted
(hereinafter, referred to as "currently duplexed information")
and a second system acquisition unit for acquiring the other of the currently
duplexed information. The transmission control device switches the information
transmitted to the first system acquisition unit of the transmission device
to one of the duplexed information (hereinafter, referred to "new duplexed
information") and then switches the information transmitted to the second
system acquisition unit of the transmission device to the other of the new duplexed
information.
