Abstract:
The present application provides a symbol transmission method and a communication apparatus. The method may comprise: a sending end device determines frequency domain positions of reference signals used for phase noise estimation in a plurality of resource blocks, wherein a plurality of reference signals are provided on at least one resource block in the plurality of resource blocks, and the reference signals occupy consecutive frequency domain resources on the at least one resource block, for example, occupying a plurality of consecutive subcarriers; and the sending end device maps the reference signals to one or more symbols according to the frequency domain positions of the reference signals in the plurality of resource blocks, and sends the one or more symbols to a receiving end device. The receiving end device performs phase noise estimation on the basis of the reference signals. By means of the present application, the distribution of the reference signals on the frequency domain may be more concentrated, the accuracy of inter-carrier interference estimation is improved, the phase noise error compensation performance is improved, and the demodulation performance of a receiver is then improved.
