Abstract:
A synchronization timing detection device according to the invention is provided with: n (where n is 3 ≤ n ≤ m, and n is a natural number and a submultiple of m) correlators (31-1, 31-2, 31-3, 31-4) that calculate a correlation value R between a received signal obtained by oversampling one symbol period by a factor of m (where m is a natural number) and a known synchronization pattern and then shift the correlation value R by m/n samples for output; an arithmetic unit (32) that combines n correlation value vectors obtained by applying each of the correlation values Rn outputted from the n correlators (31-1, 31-2, 31-3, 31-4) onto polar coordinates as an angle of 2π (n/m) and then calculates an angle of the combined vector; and a symbol timing estimation unit (33) that estimates a symbol timing of the received signal on the basis of the angle of the vector calculated by the arithmetic unit.
