Abstract:
The present invention relates to a synthesis method of a porous yttria powder of a high purity at low temperature. The method comprises the following steps: preparing the starting material, yttrium nitrate (Y(NO3)39H2O); dissolving the starting material in distilled water; adding a polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) solution to the distilled water to form a yttrium precursor; heat stirring and drying the precursor to form a gel-type precursor; and removing the PVA and heat treating the precursor to form a nanocrystal structure.
