Abstract:
Provided is a synthetic resin bottle which has decompression absorbing performance and in which the appearance of a trunk portion having a label added thereto has a cylindrical shape close to a complete circle. A synthetic resin bottle 1 having a cylindrical trunk portion 3 has: four compression absorbing panels 8 that are arranged at equal intervals in the trunk portion 3; and a column portion 9 that comprises a circular-arc wall surface 9a disposed at the intervals between the compression absorbing panels 8, wherein, in a cross section of the trunk portion 3, the circular-arc wall surface 9a of the column portion 9 constitutes a part of one virtual complete circle 10, and the total circumferential length of the circular-arc wall surface 9a of the column portion 9 is 55-75% of the full circumferential length of the complete circle 10.
