Abstract:
Disclosed is an aesthetically attractive novel synthetic resin container which has a high-strength shoulder section formed to be either totally or partly dome shaped. The disclosed container comprises a shoulder section (3) which joins an opening section (2) and the upper end of a trunk section (5). A plurality of diamond shaped bulging portions (10) are provided in the circumferential direction, in a dome-shaped region (s) of the shoulder section (3) so as to protrude toward the exterior direction from the outer edges of the diamonds (eo) to the inner edges of the diamonds (et), and diamond shaped depressions (D) are formed by the regions demarcated by the inner edges of the diamonds (et) projecting toward the inside of the container, with ribs (12) being provided in the depressions (D) such that contour lines (L5) running along the vertical direction protrude toward the exterior direction; bulging portions (20, 30) which protrude toward the exterior direction from triangle outer edges (eo) to triangle ridges (et) are provided in the circumferential direction between each of the diamond shaped bulging portions (10), and diamond shaped depressions (D') are formed by the regions demarcated by the inner edges of the diamonds (et) projecting toward the inside of the container, with ribs (22, 32) being provided in the depressions (D') such that contour lines (L8) running along the vertical direction protrude toward the exterior direction.
