Abstract:

In a system for checking tool interference, noninterference regions of tool posts (TP1) and (TP2), i.e., contours where they should not interfere, are stored as shape data for each of the tools (TL1), (TL2) that are to be fitted thereto. Further, the tool loci are color-displayed to check the tool interference by moving the tool posts (TP1), (TP2) under the condition where the tools (TL1) and (TL2) are not mounted in accordance with a numerical control instruction from a numerical control apparatus to which is input the cut shape of the work (WK). In this case, the color changes at portions where noninterference regions set for the tools are contacted to each other, so that the overlapping of the tools is displayed.
