The invention relates to a system component (1) for a motor vehicle, in particular a pump component (1) for a pump of a cooling circuit of the motor vehicle, having a housing (10) and a circuit board (50) disposed in the housing (10), wherein the circuit board (50) is mounted on a functional component (20, 30) of the system component (1) apart from the housing (10), said functional component fulfilling a basic mechanical and/or electrical/electronic task of the system component (1). The invention further relates to a pump, in particular a cooling circuit pump, for a motor vehicle, having a system component (1) according to the invention.
