Abstract:
Disclosed are a system and a method for user authentication by using a pupillary response. The system for user authentication by using a pupillary response comprises: a storage unit for storing user information including pupillary response data; a control unit for predicting a user by using the user information and the user's pupillary response according to a visual stimulus; and a response acquisition unit for acquiring the user's pupillary response according to the visual stimulus, wherein the control unit comprises: a user determination unit for comparing a user feature extracted on the basis of the acquired pupillary response with the user information stored in the storage unit and determining a matching probability of a user ID; and an authentication unit for determining whether to authenticate and access according to the matching probability of the user ID and repeatedly performing user re-authentication after allowing the user access.
