Abstract:
A system for manoeuvring and braking of a ship, comprising a roll stabilization fin system (1) placed at the ship's sides, and a bow rudder system (2). The roll stabilization fins system (1) comprises a fin (3) attached to a transmission unit (5), connected to an actuator (6). The actuator (6) is connected to a fin control unit (8) in the stabilization mode. It is also connected to an amplifying unit (10), and both (8 and 10) are connected to a stop mode fin control unit (11). The bow rudder gear (2) has a unit for operating the bow rudder in a stop mode, and a bow rudder position indicator. The fins and the bow rudder are rotated through 90�.

PATENT CLAIMS
1. A system for manoeuvring and braking of a craft, comprising a system of sideplaced to the two boards devices for stabilizing of craft shaking and a system of a bow helm gear, the sideplaced to the two boards devices for stabilizing being identical and each of them has a wing, installed on a support, attached to a reducing unit, itself connected to an executive unit; niches are formed in the craft hull, in which the wings are installed, when not used and when a necessity for their use arises, the wings are brought out of the craft hull, whereas the executive unit is connected to an unit for operating the wings in a craft shaking stabilization mode, the latter being connected to a sensor (a transducer) for a shaking stabilization mode signal, itself connected to an amplifying and a processing unit; the bow helm gear is installed on the craft bow and comprises a helm, mounted to a helm machine, itself connected to an autopilot and a steering wheel, characterised with an executive unit (6), an amplifying unit (10) and an unit for operation (8), connected to an unit for operation (11) of the wing (3) in a stop mode and with the helmmachines (13) and the autopilot (14), connected to an unit for operation (16) of the bow helm in a stop mode and to an indication for the helm (12) position.
2. A system for operation, according to claim 1, characterised with the fact that the wings (3) are rotated to 90"in a stop mode.

Description:
A SYSTEM FOK CRAFTS MANOEWRING AND BRAKING TECHNICAL FIELD The invention refers to a system for crafts manoeuvring and braking, applicable in shipbuilding and maintaining crafts, used for normal and emergency manoeuvring and stop of crafts, of sea and river vessels in their variety - a cargo vessel, a sailing-craft, a military craft, a hydrofoil craft, a catamaran, a threemaran and others.

BACKGROUND ART The necessity for manoeuvring and braking a craft arises under conditions of normal work or in a situation of emergency, when manoeuvring and stop must be held extremely fast for escaping undesirable results, sometimes with fatal end.

A system for stabilisation of craft's shaking is well known, in which on both sides of the hull are installed active stabilizers. On the craft's hull are formed niches, in which the stabilizers are placed, when not used. In case, necessity arises for using them, the stabilizers are brought out of the hull. They have a support, attached to the hull by means of console bearings, a stabilizing wing being immovably mounted to it. The stabilizing wing has the ability to rotate together with the support in two directions to 20 - 30° towards the horizontal plane.

A system for steering the craft, in which an additional bow helm is installed at its bow for improving the steering and manoeuvring the craft, is well known.

A system for steering and stabilizing the shaking of a craft, equipped both with the above-mentioned systems for stabilizing and a bow helm.

A common disadvantage of these systems for steering and stabilizing of craft's shaking is their ability only to stabilize the craft during navigation and just slightly improved manoeuvring. The systems can not perform supple manoeuvring and accelerated stop of the craft, especially urgent in a situation of emergency.

DISCLOSURE OF INVENTION The main technical problem, aimed to be solved with the creation of the system for craft manoeuvring and braking, is to improve the functional abilities of a system for steering and stabilizing the craft, in a way that more than stabilizing the craft during navigation and improved manoeuvring, to accomplish its fast and reliable stop and with greater abilities for manoeuvring.

The mentioned problem is solved by a system for manoeuvring and braking a craft with the following diagram. The system comprises just side-placed to the two boards devices for stabilizing the craft shaking or side-placed to the two boards devices for stabilizing the craft shaking and a bow helm gear. The side-placed to the two boards devices for stabilizing the craft shaking are identical and each of them possesses a wing, installed on a support. The support is attached to a reducing unit, connected to an executive unit. When the wings are not used, they are placed in special niches, provided on the craft hull. When a necessity for their use arises, the wings are brought out of the craft hull. The executive unit is connected to an unit for operating the wings in the mode of stabilizing the craft shaking, connected, itself, to a sensor - a transducer for the signal of the stabilization mode. The transducer is connected to an amplifying and processing unit. The executive unit, the amplifying unit and the unit for operation are connected to an unit for operating the wing in a stop mode.

In a system for manoeuvring and braking of a craft, comprising as well a bow helm gear, the latter is installed on the bow side of the craft. It comprises a helm, mounted together with a helm-machine, connected to an autopilot and a steering wheel. Furthermore, the helm-machine and the autopilot are connected to an unit for operating the bow helm in the stop mode and to an indication of the helm position.

The advantages of the described system for manoeuvring and braking the craft are as follows : the system increases the functional abilities of a system for steering and stabilizing the craft shaking and more than stabilizing the craft during navigation and improved manoeuvring, accomplishes its fast and reliable stop and performs greater abilities for manoeuvring. The system for manoeuvring and braking is always in standby, ready to be set in work.

DESCRIPTION OF THE ENCLOSED FIGURES An embodiment of a system for manoeuvring and braking of a craft, referred to the disclosure is shown in figures 1,2 and 3.

Figure 1 presents a common view of the place of a system for manoeuvring and braking the craft, comprising a system for stabilizing the craft shaking and a bow helm; Figure 2 shows a general block diagram of the mechanism for stabilizing the craft shaking, manoeuvring and braking the craft; Figure 3 shows a general block diagram of a bow helm gear.

MODEL OF INVENTION According to the disclosure and the figures, an embodiment of a system for manoeuvring and braking a craft comprises the following. The system includes a system of side-placed to the two boards devices for stabilizing, designed as a whole with 1 (fig. 1 and 2) and a system of a bow helm gear, designed as a whole with 2 (fig.1 and 3). The side-placed to the two boards devices for stabilizing 1 are identical and each of them has a wing 3, installed on a support 4. The support 4 is attached to a reducing unit 5, connected to an executive unit 6. When the wings 3 are not used, they are placed in special niches 7, provided on the craft hull. When a necessity for their use arises, the wings are brought out of the craft hull. The executive unit 6 is connected to an unit for operating 8 the wings 3 in the mode of stabilizing the craft shaking. The unit for operation 8 is connected to a sensor - a transducer 9 for the signal of the stabilization mode. The transducer 9 is connected to an amplifying and processing unit 10. The executive unit 6, the amplifying unit 10 and the unit for operation 8 are connected to an unit for operating 11 the wing 3 in a stop mode.

The mechanism 2 of the bow helm system is installed on the bow side of the craft and comprises a helm 12, mounted together with a helm-machine 13, connected to an autopilot 14 and a steering wheel 15. Furthermore, the helm- machine 13 and the autopilot 14 are connected to an unit for operating 16 the bow helm in the stop mode and to an indication of the helm 12 position.

APPLICATION OF INVENTION The system for manoeuvring and braking a craft is applied in the following way.

When a necessity for stabilizing the craft, for big angles of side shaking, arises, a command is set manually, via the unit for operation 8, to the executive unit 6 and to the reducing unit 5, for bringing the support 4 to a position , perpendicular to the diametrical plane of the craft. The two wings 3 are at a horizontal position.

When the whole system is set ready for work, the transducer emits signals to unit 10, proportional to the shaking. Unit 10 processes the signal, amplifies it and sets a command for rotating the wings 3 to an angle, providing decrease of the shaking amplitude. Both wings 3 on both craft boards start to rotate at equal angles but with opposite signs. If a necessity for normal or extreme manoeuvring or stop arises during the work of the system for stabilizing the craft shaking in a stabilizing mode, through the unit for operation 8 a command is set manually to the unit for operation in stop mode 11. The latter automatically breaks the connection between unit 9 and unit 6 and sets a signal to the executive unit 6 to rotate the wings 3 to 90°. At the same moment, a command can be set manually to unit 16 of the bow helm gear 2 (fig.1 and 3), as well, for switching off the autopilot 14 and setting a command to the helm-machine 13 to rotate the helm 12 at 90". Thus, the system is set into a stop mode by activating simultaneously the side devices 1 (fig. 1 and 2) and the bow helm gear 2 (fig. 1 and 3). In relation to every situation and the operator, only one of the stop systems can be activated.

When the necessity for craft manoeuvring and stop falls off, a signal is set through the unit for operation 8 and the system is brought back into a stabilizing mode. If the above mentioned mode is not needed, the wings 3 are took in the niches 7 at a standby position. A stop-command can be set simultaneously to both of the wings or separately for port side or starboard in relation with the situation and the decision of the operator.

If a necessity for normal or emergency craft stop arises, when the system is not working in a stabilizing mode, a signal is set manually through the unit for operation 8 to the unit for operation 11 in stop mode. The latter forms and sets a command to the reducing unit 5 to bring out into a working position one or two wings 3. Immediately after bringing out the wings 3, a command is set automatically to the executive unit 6 to rotate the wings 3 to 90". According to the operator's decision. a command can be set to the unit for operation of the bow helm 16 and the helm 12 is rotated to 90" too. When craft stop is completed, the wings 3 are took in the niches 7 in a reverse order and the bow helm 12 is set in a position related to an expected following craft movement.

When the wings 3 are asymmetrically used for craft stop (just port side or just starboard), with the help of the helm 12 the diameter of circulation of the craft is decreased.

Using the system for manoeuvring and braking, adequate controllability of a single-screw craft reverse travel is provided.
