Title:
SYSTEM FOR DETECTING AND LOCATING A DISTURBANCE IN A MEDIUM, AND CORRESPONDING METHOD AND COMPUTER PROGRAM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/069722
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The invention relates to a system comprising: means (304, 306) for emitting successive acoustic waves in a medium (102); means (308) for receiving successive acoustic waves following propagation in the medium (102), designed to supply a reception signal from the successive acoustic waves received; and means for detecting and locating the disturbance in the medium on the basis of the reception signal. At at least one particular frequency, the phase and/or amplitude spectrum of each acoustic wave has an amplitude, or phase respectively, varying in the medium according to a particular spatial distribution in terms of amplitude, or phase respectively, and the emission means (304, 306) are designed such that the spatial distributions in terms of amplitude, or phase respectively, of successive acoustic waves are different from one another.
