Abstract:
An authentication system according to various embodiments comprises: an electronic device that performs AKA authentication and TLS authentication functions; and a mobile core that performs AKA authentication and TLS authentication functions, wherein the electronic device transmits a client message including AKA authentication to the mobile core in a TLS handshake step, the mobile core calculates a TLS symmetric encryption key by deriving encryption material based on the client message, the mobile core transmits a server message including AKA authentication to the electronic device in the TLS handshake step, the electronic device calculates the TLS symmetric encryption key by deriving encryption material based on the server message, the electronic device and the mobile core generate a secure channel on the basis of the TLS symmetric encryption key, and the electronic device and the mobile core may exchange data through the secure channel. Other various embodiments are possible.
