Description:
SYSTEM ENABLING A SENSOR TO BE FIXED INSIDE THE FAUCET BODY

Subject of the Invention

The invention relates to a system enabling a sensor, which enables to start and/or stop the flow, to be fixed on the body in the faucets where the water flow may be controlled in a touchless manner.

State of the Art

The faucets are used in the bathrooms, toilet rooms, kitchens and similar areas in order to supply the water in the clean water installation or in a different water source to the user in a controlled manner. The basic function of the faucets is to either permit or prevent the water flow.

The water flow is permitted and/or prevented by means of at least one valve present in the faucets. In the embodiments where the control of this valve takes place with the help of a mechanical arm, the user is required to contact this mechanical arm in order to permit the water flow before the use and to stop the water flow after the use. Since such physical contact leads to certain hygiene problems especially in the faucets present in the public spaces, the faucets able to be controlled in a touchless manner were developed. Said faucets able to be controlled in a touchless manner comprise at least one sensor and the water flow is permitted or the water flow is terminated according to the data coming from said sensor. When it is desired to use as the sensor a sensor having standard dimensions and properties, it is not possible to position the sensor inside the faucet body especially in the cases where the diameter of the faucet body is less than 35 mm and consequently, it is preferred to position the sensor on the wall plane or on the product plate. Said practice complicates the mounting, adversely affects the ergonomic use and also increases the costs. With the system according to the invention, it is made possible to fix a standard sensor inside the faucet body, and as a result, the cost advantage and the ease of mounting are provided, while at the same time enabling an ergonomic use owing to the sensor being positioned inside the faucet body.

Object of the Invention

An object of the invention is to develop a system wherein a standard sensor is enabled to be fixed inside the faucet body.

Another object of the invention is to develop a fixing system wherein a standard sensor is enabled to be fixed inside even a faucet body with a body diameter less than 35 mm.

Detailed Description of the Invention

The invention relates to a system enabling a sensor (4), which enables to start and/or stop the flow, to be fixed on the body (1) in the faucets where the water flow may be controlled in a touchless manner. More particularly, the invention relates to a sensor (4) fixing system, which enables the sensors (4) with standard dimensions and properties to be fixed inside the faucet body (1).

The system according to the invention comprises

• at least one sensor holder (2), on which the sensor (4) is positioned and which is positioned along with the sensor (4) inside the faucet body (1) to enable the sensor (4) to be fixed on the faucet body (1), and

• at least one fixing pin (3), which enables the sensor (4) to become compressed between the body (1) and the sensor holder (2) by imparting a push force on the sensor (4) after said sensor (4) is positioned along with said sensor holder (2) inside the body (1).

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the sensor holder (2) has at least one sensor bearing (21), in which the sensor (4) is positioned. The sensor bearing (21) is a sensor bearing (21), which allows the sensor (4) to move in the direction of approaching or moving away from the faucet body (1) when said sensor (4) is positioned in said sensor bearing (21).

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the sensor holder (2) has at least one fixing pin bearing (22), in which the fixing pin (3) is placed in a way to freely perform the rotational movement.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the fixing pin (3) has at least one pin protrusion (31), which, as a result of its rotation, imparts a push force on the sensor (4). Said pin protrusion (31) has an asymmetric structure with respect to the center of the fixing pin (3). In other words, whereas the pin protrusion (31) is present in one half of the fixing pin (3), the pin protrusion (31) is absent in the other half of the fixing pin (3). Accordingly, when the fixing pin (3) is positioned in the fixing pin bearing (22) of the sensor holder (2), said fixing pin (3) at a first position thereof imparts a push force on the sensor (4) towards the body (1) and compresses the sensor (4) and said fixing pin (3) at a second position thereof permits the movement of the sensor (4) inside the sensor bearing (21) in the direction of moving away from the body (1), and thus, it becomes possible to mount the sensor (4) inside the body (1).

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the fixing pin bearing (22) is a fixing pin bearing (22) formed on the sensor holder (2) with a structure and positioning such that when the fixing pin (3) is positioned in said fixing pin bearing (22), the pin protrusion (31) will impart a push force on the sensor (4) at a first position of the fixing pin (3) and will permit the movement of the sensor (4) at another position of the fixing pin (3).

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the sensor holder (2) has at least one water passage cavity (23), which is to permit the water and/or the water-carrying member, i.e. the hose, to pass through the same when the sensor holder (2) is disposed at its position inside the body (1). In this way, the water and/or the water-carrying member entering the body (1) through the body lower opening (11) is/are able to access the body upper opening (12) even when the sensor holder (2) is positioned inside the body (1).

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the sensor bearing (21) is a sensor bearing (21), which enables the sensor section (41) of the sensor (4) to assume a position corresponding to the sensor opening (13) of the body (1) and to exit through the sensor opening (13) as a result of the force imparted by the pin protrusion (31) of the fixing pin (3) and which enables the sensor (4) to become compressed, i.e. fixed, between the body (1) and the sensor holder (2), when the sensor (4) is positioned along with the sensor holder (2) inside the body (1) via the body lower opening (11) and pushed towards the body upper opening (12). A preferred embodiment of the invention comprises two fixing pins (3) and the sensor holder (2) has two fixing pin bearings (22). In said embodiment, a push force is imparted on the sensor (4) by means of the two fixing pins (3) and the sensor (4) is enabled to be fixed, when the sensor (4) is positioned inside the sensor bearing (21).
