Abstract:
Provided is a linked-operation system for performing a linked operation of application
programs operating on respective field devices mutually connected via a network.
An application managing function operating on the operating system reads out
the application programs, a slot, and a connector from a storage unit, so that
the application programs, the slot, and the connector are started. The slot
is registered in the application and the connector is registered in the slot.
The linked-operation system includes a first field device and a second field
device where the operating system operates. The application programs operating
respectively in the first field device and the second field device are connected
to a virtual channel formed by a set of the connector started by the first field
device and the connector started by the second field device via an interface formed
by a set of the slot started by the first field device and the slot started by the
second field device, thereby transmitting and receiving data.
