[0003] The ophthalmic lenses must be custom made to match the optical prescription of a user who has visual impairment like astigmatism, myopia, hypermetropia, among others, in order to correct his vision. The lenses go through a preparatory process of grounding and polishing until the desired optical power is obtained. The lenses can be costly to manufacture and purchase, especially if the user has specific adjustments required above a basic diopter shift, such as high index of refraction or an astigmatism correction.

[0004] Due to these high costs of the ophthalmic lens, some of the users that buy sunglasses does not modify the sunglasses lenses to comprise the visual adjustments or if the user does the modification, only do it for a pair of sunglasses and will not buy another pair.

[0005] US 20140300854 discloses an eyewear, namely, sunglasses with an integral securing mechanism that enables the lenses to be removed and replaced as necessary. Each of the lenses may retained within the frame of the eyewear/sunglass device as by corresponding channels or recesses formed on each corresponding side of the sunglass frame. For separate lenses, a securing mechanism is provided for securing each of the lenses. In a mono lens configuration, a single securing mechanism may be used to secure both lenses. A securing mechanism is placed in a locked position to hold the lens(es) in place during use. The securing mechanism is placed in an unlocked position by sliding or shifting the securing mechanism, enabling removal of the lens(es). Various constructions can be adopted for maintaining the securing mechanism in the locked position, such as by frictional force, magnetic force, or combinations thereof.
