Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/061032
Kind Code:
A4
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a remotely deployable, independent, subscriber based universal supply chain management system for manufacturers and service providers linking on real time basis all participants in a distribution channel comprising of one or more servers; one or more networked digital devices and framework for supply chain management. The manufacturers and service providers can be linked to all the participants in a single unifying platform through the networked digital devices embedded with remotely deployable proprietary software. Each participant has a unique identification number combined with or without a physical identity device to facilitate authentication of every transaction on the system. The networked digital device inputs data into the system at the participant location. The system transfers data in real time between related participants in a uniform and compatible format thereby enabling ease of data processing and dynamic decision making.

One or more servers;

One or more networked digital devices; and

Framework for supply chain management,

wherein the system establishes a singular convergent point during physical visits thereby creating an efficient supply chain management,

wherein the manufacturers arid service providers can be linked to all participants in the distribution channel in a single unifying platform through networked digital devices embedded with remotely deployable proprietary software,

wherein each participant is linked to the system through an identity device which serves as a transaction authentication device,

wherein each participant has a unique identification number combined with or without a physical identity device to facilitate authentication of every transaction on the system, thereby providing a digital electronic trail for each transaction,

wherein the networked digital device inputs data into the system at the participant location,

wherein the system transfers data in real time between related participants in a uniform and compatible format thereby enabling ease of data processing and dynamic decision making,

wherein each participant can access their data from the server using their assigned user ID and password,

wherein the system manages and distributes commercial data including orders based on inputs supplied by distribution channel participants through the networked digital devices connected to a database on the cloud and combined with authentication of transactions by the participants,

wherein the system adopts a reliable methodology for authentication of transactions satisfying all the participants, wherein the authentication methodology is customizable by the participant through passwords registered on the system, and

wherein the universal suppl chain management system is compatible for any product and service.

2. The system as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the framework for supply chain management comprises of one or more databases; enterprise systems; billing or accounting systems; inventory systems; asset monitoring systems; security systems and visitor management systems.

3. The system as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the participants include retailers, purchasers, suppliers, transporters or delivery agents, representatives, manufacturers, consumers, service providers, sales outlet and referral entities.

4. The system as claimed in claim 3, wherein the participants can be registered and de-registered from the system in real time.

5. The system as claimed in claim 4, wherein the registered participants locate and connect instantly to each other by sending and confirming messages through the system.

6. The system as claimed in claim 5, wherein each of the registered participants has the flexibility to decide preference of being connected to or disconnected from other participants.

7. The system as claimed in claim 1 restricts the data access at the server through use of proprietary encryption only to the relevant participants and only to the extent of the data relevant to them thereby providing data security for proprietary information of each participant.

8. The system as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the data includes products, manufacturers, service providers, brands, quantities, prices, values, representatives, product or service details, commercial details, transaction details, authentication details, contact details and landmarks.

9. The system as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the networked digital device is a shareable portable digital device including existing digital devices, communication devices such as mobile phones, tablets and computers.

10. The system as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the identity device may be an active device that include mobile devices or software embedded on the mobile devices or a passive device that include unique encrypted smart cards or stickers or tags and wherein each of the networked active and passive devices can be connected to or disconnected from the system in real time.

1 1 . The system as claimed in claim 10, wherein the identity device and the networked digital device of each participant have encrypted codes, which is or can be changed after each transaction by system for enhanced security.

12. The system as claimed in claim 1 1 , wherein the networked digital device communicates with either unique location ID or authentication device for logging of physical visits and authenticating transactions with scope for unique location device to also double up as authentication device.

13. The system as claimed in claim 12, wherein the networked digital device communicate between themselves and the system using wired and wireless means, the said communication means include RFID, NFC, 2G or 3G or 4G.

14. The system as claimed in claim 1 captures order data, delivery of products and aggregates, transmits the order data and related information to the participants.

15. The system as claimed in claim 14 has an escalating alert mechanism and broadcasting system for aggregation/consolidation and dissemination of data to the registered participants.

16. The system as claimed in claim 15 serves as a payment gateway for the participants.

17. The system as claimed in claim 16 facilitates electronic transfer of documents between participants through the networked digital device, the said documents include orders, invoices, delivery receipt, bills, transport documents and regulatory documents.

1 8. A method of participants connecting between themselves through supply chain management system comprising the steps of:

Registering and logging of individual participants into the supply chain management system networked digital device in real time;

Linking each participant to he system through an identity device which serves as a transaction authentication device;

Providing unique identification number to each of the participants, networked digital device and the identity device to facilitate authentication of transactions on a system, thereby providing a digital electronic trail for each transaction;

Providing space to upload participant data into the cloud database;
