Title:
SYSTEM FOR GENERATING AUXILIARY POWER USING EXCESS STEAM FROM INCREASED OUTPUT OF A GENERATOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/011730
Kind Code:
A2
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a system for generating auxiliary power using the excess steam from the increased output of a generator, and more particularly, to a system that uses the excess steam generated from the increased output of boiler equipment at a nuclear power plant or thermal power plant to operate an apparatus for generating auxiliary power to generate electricity. The system for generating auxiliary power of the present invention, which uses the excess steam from the increased output of a power plant, receives the bypassed excess steam generated from the increased output of a first system of a nuclear reactor or a boiler for generating steam, through a main steam pipe, and uses the thermal energy in the excess steam to generate power via the apparatus for generating auxiliary power, wherein the main power system which includes the first system of a nuclear power reactor or a boiler for generating steam also includes a second system that receives the steam generated at the first system, through a steam pipe, in order to use the thermal energy in the steam to generate power.
