Abstract:
Disclosed are a system information transmission method and a related device. The method comprises: a base station receiving a system information request sent by a terminal; and the base station sending, according to the system information request, system information to the terminal, wherein the system information comprises minimum system information and other system information, the minimum system information comprises a mapping field, and the mapping field is used for indicating a system information block present in the other system information. By means of the embodiments of the present application, the overheads and power consumption of a terminal acquiring system information can be reduced.
