Abstract:

A system for injecting fuel into an exhaust pipe, capable of preventing the fuel content in exhaust gas from burning and depositing on the spray hole at the tip of the fuel injection valve. A system (5) for injecting fuel into an exhaust pipe is configured in such a manner that the exhaust pipe (11) is connected to the engine (10) through an exhaust adaptor (50) and the fuel is directly injected into the exhaust pipe (11) by the fuel injection valve (52) provided to the exhaust adaptor (50). The front end (52a) of the fuel injection valve (52) is provided to the inner wall of the exhaust path (51) located within the exhaust adaptor (50). The inner wall, to which the front end (52a) of the fuel injection valve (52) is provided, protrudes from the exhaust path (51), which is located within the exhaust adaptor (50), in the direction in which the diameter of the inner wall is expanded. A coolant path (64) for cooling the periphery of the front end (52a) of the fuel injection valve (52) is provided within the exhaust adaptor (50).
