Abstract:
The invention relates to a system for launching a paraglider canopy (30) from the stratosphere, comprising: - a stratospheric balloon (3); - a launch ramp (10) connected to the stratospheric balloon, the launch ramp extending between a first portion (14), situated at a first height and having a first slope, and a second portion (16) situated at a second height and having a second slope, the second height being lower than the first height and the second slope being less than or equal to the first slope, the second slope further being less than or equal to 70%, - a connecting element (18) locked in position on the first portion of the launch ramp, said connecting element being designed to travel along the launch ramp from the first towards the second portion after it has been unblocked, - a paraglider canopy linked by means of multiple rigging lines (40) to the connecting element, and - a launch actuator.
