Description:
DESCRIPTION

A SYSTEM FOR MAKING A BUSY SUBSCRIBER LISTEN TO A NOTIFICATION MESSAGE DURING HIS/HER CURRENT CALL

Technical Field

The present invention relates to a system which enables to trigger a notification message to be listened by the called person via the calling person if the called person is talking to another person and to make the called person to listen to this notification message during his/her current call, for a call made over a communication device.

Background of the Invention

Today, use of mobile device and communication networks shows a continuous increase. Subscribers of mobile network operators make calls over these networks and these calls cannot be sometimes answered and calls cannot be completed due to the fact that the called subscriber is busy, in other words s/he is having a talk within another call. In such cases, a call tone is listened to the called subscriber or it is expected to make the call later by giving a busy tone to the called subscriber in the event of using the feature of call hold in the state of the art.

In the state of the art, in the event that the calls reaching the called subscribers in busy status are evaluated as described above, the called subscriber is only informed only when a call reaches him/her or is not informed about this information as well if the call hold feature is not active. In such cases, the calling subscriber cannot reach the called subscriber during this time in cases where the current call of the subscriber being in busy status takes much time and the called subscriber goes through a great trouble particularly when it is required to communicate urgently (in subjects such as health, security, business, etc.). Another method used by subscribers in order to inform the called subscriber who is in busy status about the call being made is the method of the calling subscriber sending a message indicating the purpose of the call to the called subscriber. However, the called subscriber cannot read the message without finishing his/her current call or interrupting this call in the event of sending message in this way as well.

The said solutions and methods cannot enable to make a fast and efficient notification to the called subscriber in cases where the call made by the calling subscriber towards the called subscriber in busy status is an emergency call and the called subscriber in busy status should be informed about this immediately.

This basic deficiency included in the said solutions and methods reveals the fact that there is a need for a solution which enables to make the called subscriber in busy status to listen a message created and/or triggered by the calling subscriber during his/her current call and thus enables the called subscriber in busy status to be informed about the calling purpose of the calling subscriber in fastest and the most efficient way.

The United States patent document no. US6438216, another application in the state of the art, discloses a method and system which enables to make call notification to subscribers in the event that they receive another call during the current call.

The European patent document no. EP2393269, another application in the state of the art. discloses a system and method for announcing a call purpose.

Summary of the Invention An objective of the present invention is to realize a system which enables to make the called subscriber to listen a notification message created and/or triggered by the calling subscriber during his/her current call in the event that the called subscriber is busy and thus enables the called subscriber to be informed about the calling subscriber and his/her calling purpose in calls made by the calling subscriber towards the called subscriber.

The called communication device (B) enables to establish and receive call over any mobile or fixed communication network (N) from where it gets service.

The call application (4) included in the inventive system (1) runs on the calling communication device (2) and the called communication device (3) and it is in communication with the application server (5) over any remote communication protocol in the state of the art. The call application (4) running on the calling communication device (2) is run by the calling subscriber (A) in cases when the call is made by the calling subscriber

(A) towards the called subscriber (B) and the called subscriber (B) cannot answer the call because s he is busy and enables the calling subscriber (A) to create and/or trigger a voice notification message in order to be played by the call application (4) running on the called communication device (3). The call application (4) running on the calling communication device (2) is a unit which sends all requests and inputs - that are provided by the calling subscriber (A) related to the voice notification message created and/or transmission of which is triggered by the calling subscriber (A) - to the application server (5) over the data service whereto the calling communication device (2) belongs.

In one embodiment of the invention, the call application (4) running on the calling communication device (2) is a unit which is configured such that it will enable the calling subscriber (A) to input the MSISDN information of the called subscriber

(B) or another original information thereof or to choose it from a list (for example contact list) while the calling subscriber (A) is creating and/or triggering a voice notification message so as to be listened to the called subscriber (B) during his/her current call. In another embodiment of the invention, the call application (4) running on the calling communication device (2) senses the call which is desired to be made by the calling subscriber (A) towards the called subscriber (B) and is met by busy signal and it evaluates the transactions of the calling subscriber (A) related to the voice notification message by taking the MSISDN information or another original information of the called subscriber (B) automatically into account.

In one embodiment of the invention, the call application (4) running on the calling communication device (2) is a unit which is configured such that it will enable the calling subscriber (A) to record the voice notification message or to choose it among the audio files included within the calling communication device (2) before s/he (A) sends it. In the event of choose from the memory of the calling communication device (2), the call application (4) running on the calling communication device (2) is configured such that it will enable the calling subscriber (A) to arrange and use the chosen voice notification message before being sent to the application server (5).

In different embodiments of the invention, the voice notification message created by the calling subscriber (A) over the call application (4) running on the calling communication device (2) can be a speech introducing the calling subscriber (A) who can be a person or an institution, and comprising information such as purpose of the call, priority (urgency) of the call.

In one embodiment of the invention, the call application (4) running on the calling communication device (2) is configured such that it will enable the calling subscriber (A) to determine the voice notification message - which will be listened to the called subscriber (B) during his/her current call upon being played by the call application (4) running on the called communication device (3) - as any audio record that is currently kept in the application server (5) and recorded by the calling subscriber (A) previously or provided for use of subscribers in the application server (5) by being prepared in generic structure. In one embodiment of the invention, after each choose of the calling subscriber (A) in this way, the application server (5) can create the voice notification message by also adding an original information such as MSISDN (Mobile Station International Subscriber Directory Number) information of the calling subscriber (A) to this audio record as well while transmitting the chosen audio record to the call application (4) running on the called communication device (3).

In one embodiment of the invention, the call application (4) running on the calling communication device (2) is a unit which is configured such that it will enable the calling subscriber (A) to determine the voice notification message - that will be listened to the called subscriber (B) during his/her current call by being played by the call application (4) running on the called communication device (3) - as an audio record that is currently kept on the called communication device (3).

In one embodiment of the invention, the call application (4) running on the calling communication device (2) is a unit which is configured such that it will enable the calling subscriber (A) to make an audio record being currently kept on the called communication device (3) to be listened by the called subscriber (B) as the voice notification message no matter how does the calling subscriber (A) determines the voice notification message to be listened to the called subscriber (B) during his/her current call by being played by the call application (4) running on the called communication device (3).

In one embodiment of the invention, the call application (4) running on the called communication device (3) is a unit which is configured such that it will enable the called subscriber (B) to give only certain calling subscribers (A) permission to transmit voice notification message or to put certain calling subscribers (A) to prohibited list and prevent these calling subscribers (A) from transmitting voice notification message. By keeping such a grant or prohibited list - which is created by means of the call application (4) running on the called communication device (3) by the called communication device (3) - on the called communication device

(3) , it can be ensured to make grant or prohibited controls by the call application

(4) running on the called communication device (3); in one embodiment of the invention, it can also be ensured to send the list to the application server (5) by the call application (4) running on the called communication device (3) and to make grant or prohibited controls directly on the application server (5).

In one embodiment of the invention wherein the grant or prohibited lists are kept on the application server (5), when the calling subscriber (A) also wants to create and/or trigger voice notification message on the call application (4) which runs on the calling communication device (2), a control related to preferences of the called subscriber (B) can be made by communicating with the application server (5) and in cases where the calling subscriber (A) is not in prohibited list or there is no prohibited list, the calling subscriber (A) can be directly prevented by the call application (4) running on the called communication device (3) to trigger creating and/or transmitting voice notification message.

The call application (4) running on the called communication device (3) ensures that the voice notification message, which is created and/or triggered by the calling subscriber (A) by means of the call application (4) running on the calling communication device (2), is played and then listened to the called subscriber (B) during the call wherein the called subscriber (B) is included at that moment.

The application server (5) included in the inventive system (1) is a server which is in communication with the call applications (4) that run on the calling communication device (2) and the called communication device (3) by using any remote communication protocol in the state of the art and receives the inputs realized by the calling subscriber (A) by means of the call application (4) running on the calling communication device (2) about the voice notification messages created or transmission thereof is triggered by the calling subscriber (A), transmits the information and instructions - which are required for making the called subscriber (B) to listen a voice notification message during the call wherein s/he is included at that moment in accordance with these inputs - to the call application (4) running on the called communication device (3) over data service provided over wired and wireless communication networks. With the inventive system (1), transaction of making the called subscriber (B) to listen a voice notification message prepared and/or transmission thereof is triggered by the calling subscriber (A) during his/her current call is carried out in the event that the called subscriber (B) is busy in calls made by the calling subscriber (A) towards the called subscriber (B). While carrying out the said transaction, first a call is initiated by the calling subscriber (A) towards the called subscriber (B) however this call is met by busy signal due to the fact that the called subscriber (B) is talking to another subscriber (C). Thereupon; the calling subscriber (A) can create a voice notification message by means of the call application (4) running on the calling communication device (2) in order to be transmitted to the called subscriber (B), can chose such voice notification message among the audio files included currently on the calling communication device (2) and the application server (5) or ask for use of an audio file prepared for this transaction previously on the called communication device (3) as the voice notification message. These inputs determining the requests of the calling subscriber (A) related to the voice notification message are transmitted to the application server (5) by the call application (4) running on the calling communication device (2) and the application server (5) transmits the information and instructions - which are required for making the called subscriber (B) to listen a voice notification message during his/her current call - to the call application (4) running on the called communication device (3) by controlling these requests. And the call application (4) running on the called communication device (3) enables the called subscriber (B) to have information about the call made by the calling subscriber (A) during his/her current call by playing a voice notification message in accordance with these information and instructions. With the inventive system (1), in the event that the called subscriber (B) is busy for a call, it is enabled to make the calling subscriber (A) to listen a voice notification message in the form of a background sound during his/her current call to the called subscriber (B) in accordance with the request of the calling subscriber (A) and to prevent the called subscriber (B) from waiting an urgent or important call due to the current call.

Within these basic concepts, it is possible to develop a great variety of embodiments of the inventive system (1 ); it cannot be limited to the examples disclosed herein and it is essentially according to the claims.
