Abstract:
The present invention relates to a system for managing a socket for preventing unnecessary standby power consumption. More particularly, the present invention relates to a system for managing a socket for preventing unnecessary standby power consumption, the system comprising: a socket to which various home appliances are connected; and a terminal capable of short range wireless communication with the socket, wherein the socket is turned ON when the terminal is positioned in a range in which communication with the socket is possible so as to connect (pair) thereto, and if the terminal deviates from the range in which communication with the socket is possible, the socket is turned OFF when detected standby power is lower than that the reference information by detecting standby power of the home appliances connected to the socket and comparing the detected standby power with preset reference information.
