A system and method for assembling a mobile terminal device, for use in implementing reliable assembly on the premise of ensuring high screen occupation ratio and a narrow frame of the device. The system for assembling a mobile terminal device comprises: a bearing jig, used for fixedly placing a back cover housing of a mobile terminal device; a heating device, used for jointly heating, according to a set heating duration and a set heating temperature, the bearing jig and the back cover housing of the mobile terminal device that is fixedly placed on the bearing jig; a dispensing device, used for dispensing the heated back cover housing of the mobile terminal device according to a set dispensing duration; and an assembly device, used for carrying out touch panel assembly, touch panel alignment and lamination of the dispensed back cover housing of the mobile terminal device according to a set assembly duration, so as to complete the device assembly. By means of the solution, the open time of glue can be prolonged, so that the operation time of the assembly process is increased, and the reliable assembly is implemented, thereby satisfying reliability test requirements of the mobile terminal device.
