The invention provides a system and a method for a called terminal to dynamically play ring before a user answers. The invention brings a brand new dynamic multimedia ring service for a called telephone terminal user, especially a 3G mobile communication terminal user, and enables a broadband telephone terminal user to enjoy dynamic multimedia ring tones, video, or multimedia resources coming from the network at his/her telephone terminal when the broadband telephone terminal user is called.
