Abstract:
The present invention relates to a system and a method for converting carbon dioxide using a liquid-liquid interface and an electron donor-acceptor catalyst, the system producing a carbon compound and hydrogen gas by reducing carbon dioxide using a catalytic solution forming a liquid-liquid interface comprising non-intermingling water-organic phases, and electron donor and acceptor catalysts contained in the respective water and organic phases.
