Abstract:
A system for correcting time on a watch through image recognition comprises a watch. The watch comprises a movement. The movement comprises pointers and a dial. The pointers are connected to a stepper motor. The movement further comprises a controller connected to the stepper motor. The system also comprises a mobile phone. The mobile phone comprises image analysis software. The image analysis software turns on a camera of the mobile phone to photograph the dial of the movement, and analyzes a captured image to obtain displayed time of the dial. The mobile phone comprises a microprocessor. The image analysis software calls the microprocessor to compare the displayed time with an actual time obtained from the image to acquire a time difference. The mobile phone sends the time difference to the watch via a wireless communication module. The controller receives the time difference sent from the mobile phone, and adjusts the pointers. By using the system, a user only needs to use a mobile phone to photograph a dial and to send processed data to the watch, and the watch can automatically perform adjustment to correct its time. A method for correcting time on a watch through image recognition is also provided.
