Abstract:
A system for the dynamic range expansion of a digital image, comprising: an optimization apparatus (303) for calculating and storing an output histogram of a previous frame of image data, calculating and obtaining a mapping function according to the output histogram of the previous frame of image data, and obtaining a mapping table of the previous frame of image data according to the mapping function; and a mapping apparatus (304) for receiving a next frame of image data, and processing the next frame of image data by using the mapping table of the previous frame of image data so as to generate enhanced image data. The system can not only handle an ultra-high definition image, but also have a very low requirement for a hardware system. Therefore, the present disclosure achieves the handling of an ultra-high definition image with a very low requirement for hardware. Also provided are a method for the dynamic range expansion of a digital image, and a non-volatile storage medium.
