Title:
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR EXTRACTING PALM OIL BY MEANS OF STRIPPING, SHELLING AND DYNAMIC STERILISATION OF THE FRESH FRUIT
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2015/043552
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering and in particular to a system and method for extracting palm oil, said system and method being integrally configured for processing the whole fresh fruit (rachis, spikelets and seeds or fruits) by means of the steps of stripping, shelling, dynamic sterilisation and subsequent pressing. Said system and method permit an increase in the percentage of oil extracted using less equipment and a smaller working area compared to what is required for the already known conventional processes, as well as using less water and energy. In addition, the system and method permit the production of sterilised vegetable materials having a low moisture content, that can be used as organic matter for compost or as fuel for the extraction system itself. SECTION: Mechanical engineering. Producing vegetable oils by pressing raw materials or by extraction from waste materials (C11 B 1/00).
