Abstract:
The present invention relates to a system and a method for notifying an occurrence of vehicle accident. More particularly, a vehicle accident notifying system for transmitting information on an occurrence of vehicle accident to an external contact number comprises: a vehicle sensor unit which senses an intensity of at least one of an acceleration of a vehicle, vibration of the vehicle and impact applied to the vehicle, and generates a sensed value; a control unit which, if the sensed value exceeds a pre-stored reference value, determines an occurrence of accident of the vehicle and generates information on the accident; and a communication unit which transmits the information on the accident to an external source. As described above, the system and method for notifying an occurrence of vehicle accident according to the present invention are configured such that the control unit determines an occurrence of vehicle accident, and if a serious vehicle accident or a vehicle accident that might seriously injure the driver of the accident vehicle occurs, transmits information on the accident to a preset contact number by means of the communication unit to notify the occurrence of the accident, to thereby perform a quick first aid treatment on the driver of the accident vehicle and a quick life-saving operation.
