Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an apparatus, method, and program for acceleration of database processing that can be implemented inexpensively.
[Solution] In a system provided with a coprocessor provided with a parallel processing function such as a GPU, an instruction sequence for the coprocessor is dynamically generated based on a query to a database, a parallel execution is performed with the coprocessor, and data is transferred from a secondary storage device to the coprocessor without interposing a CPU, a main memory, and a peripheral equipment bus, thereby improving the processing efficiency of the entire system.
