Description:
A SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING VIRTUAL BLESSING USING HOLOGRAPHIC TELEPRESENCE IS DISCLOSED

This International Application claims priority from a Complete patent application filed in India having Patent Application No. 202041020518, filed on May 15, 2020, and titled “A SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING VIRTUAL BLESSING USING HOLOGRAPHIC TELEPRESENCE IS DISCLOSED”.

FIELD OF INVENTION

Embodiments of a present disclosure relates to a field of organising events and more particularly to a system and method for organising virtual events and providing virtual blessing using holographic telepresence.

BACKGROUND

The ongoing pandemic disease has drastically transformed the way people interact socially with each other. In fact, governments and health experts around the globe strongly recommend for maintaining social distancing between each other, avoiding unwanted travel, restricting the number of people who can participate in any public events, etc. In the extreme cases the governments had to resort to strict quarantine measures to limit interactions between the people in the hopes of preventing the spread of the disease. It has become a new normal to maintain social distancing when people meet other i.e., no more handshakes and hugs. It is common to see people opting for elbow bumps and even foot shakes instead of handshakes. Also, people have avoided or cancelled all public gatherings including family functions, marriages, parties, etc. In fact, the authorities around the world have been strictly regulating the number of people who can participate in such gatherings even if it happens.

Further the fear of catching the disease has made people to avoid attending of any such events and people venture out of their homes only for essential needs. Due to the above, people started restoring largely to video calling facility to interact with each other for various occasions including day to day interactions with their loved ones, weddings, birthday parties, temple rituals, office meetings, online lectures, webinars, etc.

However, the video calling facility fulfils this need only partially as people will not be able to experience the closeness of meeting a person in real. Particularly when people participate in emotional events such as weddings through video call facility or any one-way live streaming options, the blessing of the couple cannot be done satisfactorily.

Hence, there is a need for an improved system to provide an efficient and effective system for providing virtual blessing using holographic presence and a method to operate the same to address the aforementioned issues.

In one scenario, a couple to be wed desires to host a virtual event of their wedding and uses the system (100) as an event host (210) to create an virtual event by the event hosting subsystem (110) and invite their friends and family i.e., invitees (220) to attend their wedding virtually and seek virtual blessing from them.

Next, the invitees (220) receive the invite along with a unique event code generated by the event code generation subsystem (120). Using the unique event code invitees (220) via a user interface subsystem (130) can join the virtual event hosted by the event host (210) upon successful authentication of the unique event code.

Once the invitee (220) virtually joins the event by inputting the unique event code and upon receiving acceptance, the invitees (220) using the gift transaction subsystem (130) can send one or more gifts to the event host (210) in advance, wherein the gift options comprises of money transfer to a designated bank account or sensing tangible gifts to the event host (210).

Further the invitee (220) has option to search for one or more gifts based on search inputs received from the one or more invitees with respect to at least one of predetermined categories comprising type of the products or services offered by the merchants, gift availability for a predetermined time slot, ranking and rating of the merchants.

Next the invitee (220) can place order for selected one or more gifts from the one or more invitees in advance, by providing details of the invitee (220), date and time slot for delivery of the gifts along with contact details of the event operator to ensure the delivery of one or more gifts to the event host (210) at the time when invitee attends the virtual event. In case the invitee (220) wishes to send money as a gift, the invitee (220) make transfer of money to a designated bank account via merchant API.

The event operator (230) using the virtual event controller subsystem (160) can select the invitee (220) for holographically projected at the event venue based on at least of predetermined sequences, allotted time slot or level of urgency and alike.

Once the event operator (230) selects the invitee (220), the invitee (220) will be holographically projected at the event venue in front of the event host (210). In such scenarios, the video and audio capturing device (172) being used by invitee (172) captures real-time video and audio of the invitee and surrounding of the invitee (220). Further the video and audio capturing device (172) operably connected with the communication device (174) transmits the real-time video feed via network (240).

Further the event operator (230) using the virtual event controller subsystem (160) selects the invitee (220) to be projected at the event venue. Using the three- dimensional display module (176) the invitee (220) is holographically projected at the event venue for interacting with the event host (210) i.e., wedding couple and virtually blessing.

Figure 4 illustrates a flow diagram representing steps involved in a method for providing virtual blessing using holographic presence in accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure. In one embodiment, the method (400) includes creating and hosting by an event hosting subsystem (110) a virtual event to one or more invitees based on inputs received from a user via one or more smart devices at step 410.

At step 420, the method involves generating, by an event code generation subsystem (120) a unique event code for a particular virtual event created by the event host and sharing the unique event code with the one or more invitees, and receiving request to join the virtual event from one or more invitees by inputting the event code, via a user interface subsystem (130) configured in one or more computing devices, wherein enabling the one or more invitees to virtually join the event in real-time upon authentication of the unique event code;

In such embodiment, the unique event code would be shared to the invitees through at least one of but not limited to an email, text message, multi-media message and like.

Next at step 430 storing, by a database subsystem (140) a list of the invitees, details of the merchants selling the gifts, details of gifts along with their costs, wherein the changes to the gift costs are updated in real-time. In such embodiments, the database subsystem (140) is also configured to store the recordings of the virtual event for accessing by the event host or the one or more invitees later.

Next at step 440, providing, by a gift transaction subsystem (150) options for sending one or more gifts to the host, upon receiving acceptance for the invite from the one or more invitee, the gift transaction subsystem (150), wherein gifting option comprises money transfer to the designated bank account or sending tangible gifts to the host. In such embodiment, the one or more gifts comprises at least one of material gifts, cash gifts, flowers, gift coupons and like. In such embodiment, the gift transaction subsystem (150) provides means for searching one or more gifts based on search inputs received from the one or more invitees with respect to at least one or predetermined categories comprising type of the products or services offered by the merchants, gift availability for a predetermined time slot, ranking and rating of the merchants. Next at step 450, receiving an order by the gift transaction subsystem (150) for selected one or more gifts from the one or more invitees in advance, wherein ordering the gifts by the invitees involves providing details of the invitee, date and time slot of delivery of the gifts along with contact details of the event operator, thereby the gift transaction subsystem (150) ensures delivery of one or more gifts to the event host at the time when invitee attends the virtual event.

Next at 460, the gift transaction subsystem (150) facilitates creating payment gateway for money as gift via a merchant API to a designated bank account

In one embodiment, the gift transaction subsystem (150) searches for gifts based on plurality of categories such as but not limited to apparel, accessories, electronic items, household appliances, flowers, and the like. In such embodiment, when the invitee selects any category of gifts, the gift transaction subsystem (140) fetches the list of merchants from the internet, analyses the merchants based on products offered by the merchants and presents the same to the invitees for viewing.
