Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for quantifying pigmented lesions by using optical coherence tomography, the method comprising the steps of: (a) receiving an interference signal generated by irradiating light such that the light is reflected from a first boundary and a second boundary of the pigmented lesion; and (b) calculating size information of the pigmented lesion by using phase information of the interference signal. According to the present invention, a measurement range in an axial direction in which the light is irradiated is increased such that the size information of the pigmented lesion can be calculated by using the principle of optical coherence tomography.
