Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a system and method for removing potassium from a food within a short period of time while maintaining the texture and flavor of the food.
[Solution] According to the present invention, potassium can be removed from a food within a short period of time by: interposing the food between electrodes facing each other in a water tank; and passing a direct current from one of the electrodes facing each other to the other electrode via the food, while removing from water ions thus eluted using a deionization means.
