Abstract:

Disclosed are a system and method for supplying fuel for a ship. The present method for supplying fuel for a ship in which 1) excess liquefied gas is supplied to an engine (E) being supplied with a non-compressible fluid as fuel, 2) surplus fuel, which remains after being used in the engine (E) and is then discharged from the engine (E), is cooled by heat-exchanging same with the liquefied gas discharged from a storage tank (T), 3) the surplus fuel which has been heat-exchanged and cooled in step 2) after being discharged from the engine (E) is returned to the storage tank (T), and 4) the liquefied gas used as a coolant for heat exchange in step 2) after being discharged from the storage tank (T) is supplied to the engine (E), so that excess liquefied gas, which is capable of accommodating a load variation of the engine is supplied as a fuel to the engine, thereby preventing cavitation of the engine.
