Abstract:
The present invention relates to a system and a method for supporting traffic accident prevention, and the system for supporting traffic accident prevention comprises: a communication connection setup portion; an ID transmission portion; a vehicle information reception portion; a database; an accident probability determination portion; an alert message transmission portion; and a communication connection release portion. The communication connection setup portion sets up communication with vehicles that enter a traffic management area. The ID transmission portion assigns an ID to each of the vehicles with which a communication connection is set up, and transmits the ID that is assigned to each of the vehicles through the communication connection. The vehicle information reception portion receives vehicle information from each of the vehicles to which the ID is assigned. The database saves the vehicle information and communication connection information. The database saves the vehicle information and communication connection information. The accident probability determination portion confirms the location and speed information of the each of the vehicles to which the ID is assigned within the traffic management area, and determines the vehicles with a probability of an accident and vehicles which could be related to same by considering the vehicle information that is received. The alert message transmission portion transmits to the each of the vehicles with the probability of an accident and the vehicles which could be related to same an alert message that is appropriate to the each of the vehicles. The communication connection release portion releases the communication connection with the each of the vehicles when the each of the vehicles leaves the traffic management area.
