Abstract:
A system and a method for video and audio monitoring, the system comprises a monitor
terminal with a camera, one or more management terminals matching with the monitor
terminal, and a management center. Further the monitor terminal comprises a
frame comparison algorithm module and a transmission module, wherein the frame
comparison algorithm module is used to receive a monitored image taken by camera
and utilize a frame comparison algorithm to decide whether there is a variation
of the monitored image and output a result; the transmission module is used to
receive a decision result from the frame comparison algorithm module, and when
it is decided that there is a variation, and the monitor terminal starts a visual
telephone call to the management terminals and/or the management center and
establishes a visual telephone connection with one of them, the transmission
module transmits the monitored image through the visual telephone connection.
The invention is based on the visual telephone service and can be realized based
on the 3G system with very small investment, and exploits a development opportunity
application for the visual telephone service.
