Abstract:

A system for providing a card payment service by using a smart device and a method therefor are disclosed. The system for providing a card payment service, according to the present invention, comprises: a card reader for performing user authentication by using a password of a user who uses a card, determining whether the card is a forged card on the basis of the authentication result, acquiring card information from the card according to the determination result, encrypting the acquired card information and transmitting the encrypted card information; a smart device for receiving the encrypted card information, generating payment information containing the received card information, a payment amount, and franchise information, and transmitting the generated payment information; a relay server for transferring the transmitted payment information; and a payment processing server for receiving the transferred payment information and processing card payment on the basis of the card information, the payment amount, and the franchise information included in the received payment information.
