Description:
SYSTEM FOR RELEASING CUTLERY FOR DINERS

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The invention is concerned with a cutlery system.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

At buffets, food line systems, buffet tables, canteens and lunch restaurants, wherein the customers take their food on the plate themselves, many people use the same dispensing means and handles. It is not always possible to wash the hands or it does not come into the mind. Surprisingly many people omit washing their hands before grabbing the cutlery. Even if there nowadays are hand sanitizers available or in front in many places, they are only used by a fractional part of the diners.

This leads to that bacteria, viruses and other causers of diseases are fast and easily spreading between diners, since they all use the same means for taking the food. The object of the invention is to decrease or prevent spreading of diseases and to decrease the spreading of illnesses between the diners. A good hygiene also makes the dining more enjoyable and thus improves the image of the food provider. The advantages can also be seen as decreased absences due to illness in e.g. schools and workplaces.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The object of the invention is to provide a system and an apparatus that solve the problems mentioned above.

The object of the invention is achieved with a system and an apparatus, which are described in the independent claims.

Thus, the system for releasing cutlery for diners is characterized in that the system comprises a hand disinfectant dispenser connected to a cutlery locking mechanism, means for sending a signal from the disinfectant dispenser, receiving means in the locking mechanism for receiving the signal and a locking mechanism for locking and releasing the cutlery for the diner on the basis of the received signal.

The preferable embodiments of the invention are presented in the dependent claims.

The invention is based on a system, wherein the cutlery is not released to the diner until he has taken hand disinfectant from a hand sanitizer or other disinfectant dispenser in the beginning of the dining line. The disinfectant bottle is connected to a mechanism, which releases the cutlery after the dosage of the disinfectant and enables starting the dining and taking the food.

The advantage of the system and apparatus of the invention is that it ensures the disinfection of the hands of each diner and thus efficiently prevents spreading of diseases.

figure 6 describes an embodiment, wherein the cutlery is released to the diner by means of turning arms.

figure 7 describes an embodiment, wherein the cutlery is released to the diner by means of one or more turning arms.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The invention is concerned with a system, which comprises a hand disinfectant dispenser. The dispenser is connected to release one or more pieces of cutlery to a diner when the diner has used the dispenser. When a user takes disinfectant, the dispenser gives a signal to locking mechanisms, which release the cutlery to the diner thanks to the receiving of the signal. Thus, the object of the invention is to ensure that hand disinfectant is used before taking food. The system comprises a hand disinfectant dispenser, which is connected, either by wire or wirelessly to some cutlery holder, in which the cutlery is locked. When a diner has taken hand disinfectant, the dispenser gives a signal to the holder, which releases the cutlery in question to the diner.

The signal from the dispenser is preferably an electric signal, which can be sent either by wire or wirelessly for example as a Bluetooth signal, a radio signal, an infrared signal or as any suitable signal.

The signal is sent from the dispenser when the system has observed that a user has taken hand disinfectant. In the simplest case, the signal is generated upon a mechanical movement, for example when the diner presses a button or pulls a handle, as a consequence of which the dispenser measures out hand disinfectant on the hand of a user. In the case of an automatic dispenser, the signal can also be generated automatically when the dispenser identifies a hand of a user below the dispenser.

The signal is received in locking mechanisms, which upon receiving the signal releases the lock, which locks the cutlery in accordance with figures 1 - 7, either by physical connecting or by locking it in a space in it, such as e.g. inside a cap, box or cupboard.

The cutlery can be a plate, a tray, a drinking glass, or a piece of cutlery, like a knife, a fork or a spoon or some other tool needed for the dining.

The locking mechanism can be integrated with a table, in which plates are kept with a suspended underlay, which makes it possible to pile up several plates inside the table and wherein the plate that currently is on the top rises to a suitable height from which the diner can take it. In this case, the locking mechanism keeps the plate inside the table, until the signal from the dispenser opens the locking mechanism and the uppermost plate is released. The release can for example take place when a closing opens, a bar migrates or in some other way that releases the plate to the diner.

In an other embodiment, the cutlery is locked into a box, wherein the closing of the box opens by means of a signal or a lock of a closing in the box opens and the diner can take the cutlery from the box.

In another preferable embodiment, the cutlery is locked under a cap and the signal either releases the cap so that the cutlery under the cap become available for the diner or the cap can be connected to a mechanism, which automatically opens or migrates the cup after that the signal has been received. The hand disinfectant can be a liquid, a gel, a foam or the like.

Figure 1 describes an embodiment, wherein the cutlery, such as for example a plate 1 , is in a stand 3 built in a table 2, in which stand 3 the plate on top of the stack rises to be visible by means of a spring below the stack when the receiving means 6 have received the signal from the hand disinfectant dispenser 5. The plates are locked by means of an arm 7, which turns aside or rises along with the signal and the uppermost plate 1 releases.

Figure 2 describes an alternative embodiment, which also comprises a stand 3 built in a table 2, in which stand 3 the plate or other cutlery on top of the stack rises by means of a spring, but here the cutlery is locked under a lid 8 or mechanism in such a way that the signal sent by the hand disinfectant dispenser 5 opens the lid 8 and thus releases the cutlery 1 . In a preferable embodiment the mechanism, which releases the plate, has been arranged in a cap under which the plates are.

Figure 3 presents a preferable embodiment of the invention seen from above, wherein the lid 8 that opens is a lid that opens laterally. The lid slides aside after having received the signal and releases the cutlery 1 . Preferably, the lid is a little ajar in its closed position, so that the hand can not get caught when the lid is closing. Flowever, the lid is closed enough so that the plate could not be taken.

Figure 4 describes an alternative embodiment of a lid that is opening, wherein a round shaped lid 9 releases the cutlery 1 . Preferably, the lid 9 is of two parts and opens by sliding laterally or by opening like a feather.

Figure 5 describes an alternative embodiment, wherein the cutlery is placed in a cupboard 10, which is equipped with sliding doors 1 1 or with ordinary doors 1 1 . The door 1 1 can preferably be a door, which is self-closing after a while. When the door 1 1 has opened, the diner can take the cutlery 1 through the opened doors 1 1.

Figure 6 presents a solution according to the invention, wherein small clasps 12 or angular arms 12 lock the plate and release it by turning aside as a consequence of having received the signal.

Figure 7 describes a solution according to the invention with one or more arms 13, which are turning aside, which lock the cutlery 1 and release it by turning aside as a consequence of having received the signal.

In an alternative embodiment, the cutlery has been placed in a cupboard, which is equipped with a lock. The door can preferably be of a type, which is self-closing after a while and the lock is preferably a timer lock, which is open for a give time after reception of the signal, after which it again locks. This embodiment works in a case, wherein the cutlery has been placed on an ordinary table and it is not desired to invest into a special table, wherein the cutlery would be kept inside the table.
