Abstract:

The problem addressed by the present invention is to identify household appliances connected by means of a power plug by means of the measurement results or the like of the electric power waveform of each electrical apparatus when electrifying a plurality of electrical apparatuses, and furthermore to control an EoD system by measuring/calculating the requested amount of electrical power of the household appliances and furthermore detecting abnormal operation by apprehending the operational conditions of each electrical apparatus. As a solution means, provided is a system that is for remotely monitoring a household appliance and that comprises a server and a household appliance that incorporates a smart tap such that the power plugs of one or more electrical apparatuses can be inserted and smart tap functionality, wherein the smart tap is provided with a communication means and a voltage waveform measurement means and/or a current waveform measurement means, the voltage waveform measurement means and the current waveform measurement means are means for measuring the voltage waveform and current waveform of the electrical power supplied to at least one electrical apparatus via the power plugs connected respectively thereto, the communication means is a means for transmitting the voltage waveform and/or the current waveform or the waveform thereof to the server, which is disposed at a separate location from the tap, and the server judges the operational conditions of each connected electrical apparatus on the basis of the voltage waveform and/or current waveform received from the smart tap, and has a function such that when an abnormality of the electrical apparatus is detected, the detection contents are transmitted to an external network.
