Abstract:
A system for removing rust from a hull surface of a ship comprises: a wall-climbing robot body (1); a safety device (13); a rust removal sand blaster (2); an air compressor (9); an abrasive material transport system (8); a vacuum negative pressure collection system (6); an abrasive material separation and recirculation system (7); and a control cabinet (10). The safety device (13) is disposed at a ship body (14). The wall-climbing robot body (1) is connected to the safety device (13). The rust removal sand blaster (2) is disposed at the wall-climbing robot body (1). A sand-feeding tube connector (28) of the rust removal sand blaster (2) communicates with the abrasive material transport system (8). A sand collection tube connector (29) communicates with the vacuum negative pressure collection system (6). The system uses a wall-climbing robot to serve as an operator to perform a sand blasting operation so as to remove rust from large-sized structures in elevated positions, such as large containers, hull surfaces of ships and electric power stations, and exploits a vacuum negative pressure to perform collection, separation, recirculation and reuse with respect to an abrasive material, dust and rust, thereby significantly reducing costs, and increasing rust removal efficiency of a sand blasting operation. The invention is environmental friendly and saves energy in an operation process, is very suitable for elevated operations, causes substantially no environmental pollution, and does no harm to health.
