Abstract:
A system for catalyst separation in which solid catalyst particles are separated from a hydrocarbon synthesized by the chemical reaction of synthesis gas comprising hydrogen and carbon monoxide as major components with a slurry obtained by suspending the catalyst particles in a liquid.  The system comprises: a reactor; a storage tank in which a slurry discharged from the reactor is stored; multiple filters through which this slurry is filtered; and a filtrate reservoir in which a filtrate passed through the multiple filters is collected, the multiple filters having been serially disposed in a slurry passageway leading from the storage tank to the filtrate reservoir.
