Description:
"SYSTEM FOR SERIAL LINE FOR

CUTTING AND BENDING OF STEEL BARS, RODS AND COILS FOR MANUFACTURE OF STIRRUPS AND LONGITUDINAL GIRDERS AS WELL AS ASSEMBLY OF STEEL ARMATURES FOR BEAMS, PILLARS, BASE PLATES, BLOCKS, STAKES, DRUMS AND OTHER STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS OF REINFORCED CONCRETE" .

The present Invention Patent refers to a mechanical, electrical and welding assembly mounted in line, having in its sequence a set of machines and pre-arranged templates on one or several supply and work tables or benches, pointing out that said line is meant for the manufacturing of steel armatures for structural elements of reinforced concrete such as pillars, beams, base plates, blocks, stakes and drums among others. Moreover, this System for

Serial Line for Cutting and Bending of Steel Bars, Rods and Coils for Manufacture of Stirrups and Longitudinal Girders as well as Assembly of Steel Armatures for Beams, Columns and other Structural Elements of Reinforced Concrete is characterized by its comprising one or more preparation lines and one or more assembly lines . The adoption of more than one preparation line depends on the need for adapting and/or optimizing the cutting and bending activities, according to the bar/rod diameters (gages) . Regardless of the number of preparation lines, each is made up of a cutting section and a bending section.

section is formed by a table or bench for sliding the bars/rods, a cutting machine, a measuring table or bench, one or more bending machines, one or more carts for transporting finished stirrups equipped with wheels for sliding up to the assembly section, and a tip-holding device for storing the remaining tips of cut bars/rods.

By its turn, the assembly section of the armatures for the structural elements of reinforced concrete is formed by a table for support and sliding of the bars/rods, and a bench, equipped with sliding devices and templates for fastening the rods lengthwise and the stirrups crosswise, and a set of fusion-welding machines to join them.

The purposes of this System for Serial Line for Cutting and Bending of Steel Bars, Rods and Coils for Manufacture of Stirrups and Longitudinal Girders as well as Assembly of Steel Armatures for Beams, Columns and other Structural Elements of Reinforced Concrete are to speed up the production processes of cutting, bending of steel bars/rods used in the manufacturing of stirrups and longitudinal girders as well as in the assembly of the respective armatures for structural parts, pillars, beams, base plates, blocks, stakes, drums and others, regardless of the size or span of these parts, reducing direct and indirect costs, and as a result, reducing the final value of any civil works in reinforced concrete, as well as increasing the mechanical strength of said armatures, eliminating tying with annealed wire.

The Field of Invention of the present Invention Patent, System for Serial Line for Cutting and Bending of Steel Bars, Rods and Coils for Manufacture of Stirrups and Longitudinal Girders as well as Assembly of Steel Armatures for Beams, Columns and other Structural Elements of Reinforced Concrete, refers to a system formed by a mechanical, electrical and welding assembly mounted on a manufacturing line of products made from steel bars/rods of high mechanical strength, duly cut in the right dimensions by the activation of sawing, cutting equipment by shearing or cutting by some other adequate technology, in conjunction with the measuring bench; in sequence, one or more longitudinal girder and stirrup cutting machines, whether by machine that operates by action of male and female rollers, whether by bending equipment equipped with three cylinders, two driven in a rotary motion and eccentrically in relation to a third and the end of the side to be bent fastened by a lever and pin system, or still by special calender, when the cross section of the stirrups is circular. It is pointed out that mobile benders can replace any of these bending machines or both or these may work in conjunction with the bending machines aforementioned.

It is very important to note that straightening machines and/or automatic benders are available in the market, made nationally or imported, whose technology uses steel in coils and/or bars and its production process enables straightening and/or bending the steel and cutting it once it has been formed, pointing out

that this type of machine, although not incompatible, is not part of the System presented herein, basically due to its high cost .

The cutting and bending unit is complemented by a tip-holding device for storing the remaining tips in an ordered fashion according to length and gage. Said device comprises a screen inclined at about 70° from the floor, which has a dimensional scale and on which length ranges are painted; the remaining tips are deposited on the screen, according to length and gage. To select a tip with the adequate length, the operator has to use the painted ranges as reference.

The armature assembly unit for pillars, beams, base plates, blocks, stakes, drums and others is formed by a table or bench equipped with devices for sliding bars and/or rods, a system of fixed and mobile templates for positioning, dimensional adjustment and fastening the material intended for the fusion-welding operation of the set of parts. When in operation, said set has the purpose of assembling all these structural elements according to specifications and design of the client/works, guaranteeing quality and meeting all segments and needs of the reinforced concrete structure market for civil construction; finally, a mobile/sliding welding set with head detached from the supply, mounted on wheels in a crane with articulation arm or gyrating arm, enables joining the longitudinal girders and stirrups previously positioned as described above .

The present descriptive report of the Invention Patent refers to the System for Serial Line for Cutting and Bending of Steel Bars, Rods and Coils for Manufacture of Stirrups and Longitudinal Girders as well as Assembly of Steel Armatures for Beams, Columns and other Structural Elements of Reinforced Concrete, characterized by its comprising one or more preparation lines and one or more assembly lines .

The assembly section is formed by benches or tables for supporting and sliding the steel bars/rods, a bench or table with fixed or mobile templates for fastening the rods lengthwise and the stirrups crosswise, and to complement the process, a set of fusion- welding machines, with the aim of welding all crossing points of longitudinal girders and stirrups, as determined in the design and/or standards, thus forming the final product, steel armatures for pillars, beams, base plates, blocks, stakes, drums and other elements intended to meet the needs of the civil construction market, pointing out that this welding set can be of the mobile/sliding type with head detached from the supply, mounted on wheels in a crane with articulation arm or gyrating arm.

It is worth stating that the manufacturing line in question is divided into two sections, the first corresponds to the steel cutting and bending section and the second to the structural element assembly section.

The steel cutting and bending

section is made up of cutting machines by methods like manually or electrically driven sawing, or by shearing, the latter formed by a set of sharp tools driven in opposite directions to each other; it also comprises a bending equipment, equipped with rotating tools that act in opposite directions, being that one of them pulls and pushes the material toward two freely-turning cylinders serving as stop, forcing the material to bow, forming for such the desired steel profile; said operation can also be performed by an equipment using the same principle of bending the rods, rotation and pulling of material with the connotation of an operational differential in which the material is at first introduced into the machine, guided by the steel stop, fixed at a point allowing its rotation on the horizontal pin under action of a draw spring, when a roller freely driven around itself, joined to an electrically-driven gyrating plate, positioned eccentrically to its center, with support of the fixed roller freely-driven around itself located at the center of the gyrating place, bends the rod at any angle (1° to 270°) with rotary activation of the gyrating plate.

The armature assembly section for reinforced concrete structural parts closes the operating cycle using a specially designed table or bench provided with devices for sliding the bars/rods, dimensional templates (fixed or mobile) , previously adjusted to position the stirrups and fasten the rods, both later welded by fusion-welding equipment with their respective welding wire guns, to weld the points to be fastened with the presence of

noble gas or some other adequate gas .

Furthermore, we also point out in this stage that the assembly bench or table is made up of two side members of rectangular, square or some other adequate section, one of them fixed to the work table and the other mobile in the tightening direction of the crosswise stirrups, previously positioned between the templates formed by angle bars or other adequate profiles and welded vertically on the table; it is pointed out that said movement is driven by a lever connected to the shaft with screw thread fixed to the mobile side member and which is displaced in relation to the nut fixed on the table.

It is very important to stress that the present Invention Patent for System for Serial Line for Cutting and Bending of Steel Bars, Rods and Coils for Manufacture of Stirrups and Longitudinal Girders as well as Assembly of Steel Armatures for Beams, Columns and other Structural Elements of Reinforced Concrete has a structural variant, there being at least four table models for assembly of steel armatures for structural elements proposed in the present report .

The . first assembly bench model, in terms of dimension, allows mounting armatures for any type of column, beam, among others, provided they have spacing between the crosswise elements (stirrups) that are multiples of five centimeters since, in said workstation, angle bars are arranged in pairs, spaced from five to five centimeters, allowing perfect modulation of the stirrups

with spacing varying between 5 to 5 cm, 10 to 10 cm, 15 to 15 cm, 20 to 20 cm, and so on successively, as well as with varied and alternate spacing in the same structural element, positioning them as specified for later welding with the longitudinal bars, thus performing the armatures for structural parts in the dimensions specified and required by the works' design.

Moreover, we point out that said angle bars, in pairs, are arranged one in front of the other to enable inserting the stirrups (previously cut and bent) between them, as well as, in a second step, allowing the insertion of rods or longitudinal girders in quantity according to the design, lengthwise on the assembly table, sliding through several rollers arranged evenly along its length, thus enabling their conduction with speed and without offering any obstacle along the course so as to, in a last operation, with the aid of distributed system made up of four or five crosspieces sliding upwards on vertical rods fixed on the table, position the longitudinal girders in the upper part of the stirrups, the others staying in their lower part; said vertical rods can be equipped with extensors to allow assembling the larger armatures. By action of the lever connected to the shaft with screw thread, the armature previously mounted is tightened by displacing the mobile profile (of rectangular, square or some other adequate section) , placing it at the disposal of one or more operators to weld them in all or some points of crossing of the stirrups and longitudinal girders, thus

completing the manufacturing process .

The second and third variants of the assembly table enable working with stirrups distributed respectively at each 20 and 25 cm because the dimensions used in these types of distribution are more commonly used in the market, presenting the entire process previously mentioned, but with positioning of the angle bars arranged at preset distances between them.

Another assembly bench model enables mounting armatures for any type of pillar, beam, base plate, block, stake and drum, among others, for any spacing between the crosswise elements since said working system allows perfect positioning and modulation between stirrups with spacing varying from centimeter- to centimeter, positioning them as specified for later welding with the longitudinal bars, thus forming the armatures for the structural parts in the dimensions specified in the works' design.

It is also worth pointing out that this bench is made up of two side members supported and welded on trestles, with perforations distributed from centimeter to centimeter, with cone guides to facilitate entry of the positioning fork and stop for crosswise elements, as well as the mobile gantry supported on rollers in a second structure made up of tubular profiles with rectangular, square or some other section, exterior to the longitudinal girders that position the vertical stirrups, which enables its free displacement throughout the bench's

length .

Another objective of the present Invention Patent consists of the introduction of a system transportable to any place and/or location and fully mounted on trucks, containers or carriages pulled by truck tractor, on a removable platform, structured in steel pipes or profiles, supported, guided and fastened by pins or other devices to the truck chassis overlaid with a plate floor to support one or more generators respectively as well as all the operating modules necessary for the product's manufacturing stages desired to be executed in the remote location, made up of the cutting/bending/assembly units of said structural elements meant for the civil construction segment, as previously described.

Moreover, we point out the fact that this platform has four hydraulic-driven base plates to raise it and, when released from the truck structure by the lock pins in its chassis, leave it in the desired and selected location, such as the civil worksite, for execution of said services, thus releasing the vehicle for other purposes .

The utility of the mobile system, transported in trucks, containers or carriages, is to enable fast response and quality of execution in works of larger volume, far from the large commercial centers, allowing reduction of final costs by rationing stocks and reducing losses .

In the current prior art, and as it is of general knowledge among manufacturers, designers and users, the processes used for cutting, bending of stirrups and their respective assembly with bars/rods to manufacture columns and beams, among others, are practically manual, with a series of inconveniences and disadvantages, of which we can state the slowness, since the tasks are performed manually on a bench, both in the stirrup bending operation, a very primary process, and in the assembly of columns and beams, among others, and the low quality, since the operations are performed with little observance of dimensional measures and applicable ABNT [Brazilian Association of Technical Standards] standards, resulting in most cases in loss of materials and badly executed services. It is also pointed out that large areas are occupied for storing the raw material required to supply the manufacturing of such structural elements like steel bars, rods or coils, annealed wire coils for tying the structural parts during their assembly. To overcome these problems and to also provide technical alternatives that can meet the demand for structural elements like beams, columns, base plates and others meant for the civil construction segment, as well as to minimize the intermediary areas of waiting or stocking of the product to be used as structural reinforcement in the civil construction works, the System for Serial Line for Cutting and Bending of Steel Bars, Rods and Coils for Manufacture of Stirrups and Longitudinal

Girders as well as Assembly of Steel Armatures for Beams, Columns and other Structural Elements of Reinforced Concrete was designed, which eliminates the problems encountered, enabling the obtainment of high production levels, high productivity indexes, high quality indexes in the manufacture of said products, also pointing out that, according to its design, it enables operating as a fixed manufacturing unit and also as a mobile plant, operating in any location, including locations of difficult access, and clearly reducing the spaces required for stocking this product, in the civil construction works.

As can be inferred from the illustrative drawings that accompany and are a constituent part of this report, the System for Serial Line for Cutting and Bending of Steel Bars, Rods and Coils for Manufacture of Stirrups and Longitudinal Girders as well as Assembly of Steel Armatures for Beams, Pillars, Base Plates, Blocks, Stakes, Drums and other Structural Elements of Reinforced Concrete 1 is characterized by its comprising preparation lines, meant for cutting the bars for stirrups or longitudinal girders, bending the bars to make the crosswise elements (stirrups) and bending the lengthwise elements, if necessary, and by assembly lines, equipped to deal with the different spacing between the stirrups, as specified in the design. In the corresponding section, the use of a measuring bench 4 or support table 5 is provided at preparation line 2 for sliding the bars or rods, cutter 6; machine for bending the stirrups, using two types

of equipments in function of the diameter or other particularities of the material to be bent, employing equipments that can be stirrup bender 7 driven in the vertical plane, or bender 8 with master drive cylinder rotating in the horizontal plane and a conveyor table 9 for the semi-finished product.

In a second option for use of preparation line 2, of the cutter 6, the material is placed in a transporting cart 10 to be fed in function of their dimensions into the stirrup bender 7 or bender 8.

In function of the material to be reinforced and adequate choice of the equipment to be used to reinforce the material, the semi-finished product is stored in a transporting cart for stirrups 12 and taken to an intermediary stocking area 13 awaiting the options of being destined to the cut and bent stocking area 13A or to the assembly line 3 for products to be reinforced.

In the section corresponding to assembly line 3, the assembly machine 14, hereafter referred to as machine, comprises a structure with steel pipes of appropriate section; vertical angle bars 15 arranged two by two and spaced evenly, according to the spacing desired for the crosswise elements (stirrups) ; mobile supports 16 for adjusting and positioning the upper longitudinal bars or rods; rollers 17 for perfect sliding of the longitudinal bars to be fed into the machine 14 ; lever 18 coupled to the shaft with screw thread, coupled to the nut 19 welded in the fixed part of the machine made up of

side members 20, one being mobile and the other fixed, both tubular and with appropriate section; a head (detachable) of the welding machine with detachable head 21, supply 22 of the welding machine fixed in a gyrating arm system 23 together with cables and tools such as welding gun and others, responsible for welding stirrups to the rods previously positioned and fastened in the machine 14.

In a second alternative for assembly of the cut, bent products to be reinforced, there is an assembly bench model 24 that enables spacing between the stirrups varying from cm to cm, pointing out that the same comprises two side members 25 supported and welded in trestles, with perforations 26 spaced from cm to cm; positioning fork 27 and stop for the crosswise elements; mobile gantry 28; rollers 29 for supporting the assembly; structure 30 for supporting the gantry; mobile supports 16 for adjusting and positioning the material to be welded; fork 27 pulling system comprising a cord 31; pulleys 32; lever 33. The technical differential of

System 1 presented herein is in the development and use of an assembly and welding line comprising a machine 14 for the composition, assembly and welding of steel armatures for columns, beams and other structural elements of reinforced concrete, in which are arranged, according to the standards defined, angle bars 15 fixed vertically in the machine 14 itself, two by two, facing each other, symmetrically and each set separated from the other by a constant distance,

usually 20 or 25 cm in the first model, from 5 to 5 cm.

Moreover, a set of freely- driven rollers 17 is arranged crosswise along the longitudinal axis of the assembly machine 14 to facilitate the introduction and sliding of rods lengthwise, being two sets per table, positioned one on each side of the angle bars 15 assembly, and spaced conveniently to guarantee sliding of the bars along the entire machine 14.

Furthermore, we point out that distributed in equal spaces, the assembly line has mobile supports 16 for adjusting and positioning the rods in the upper region of the stirrups, which when moved upwards carry these rods to the upper part of the transversal section of the stirrups, positioning them according to the armature's design and fastening them for the welding operation.

In a second instance, after prior fastening of said rods in the upper region of the stirrups (round stirrups) , or upper corners of the stirrups (square, rectangular stirrups, etc.) and also in the vertical and horizontal intermediary sections, the stirrups are positioned between the pair of angle bars 15, one of them being mobile and fixed to a mobile, tubular side member 20 of rectangular section which is moved longitudinally by a lever 18 coupled to a shaft with screw thread fixed in a nut 19 welded to the table 9 structure; on moving this mobile side member 20 in the direction of tightening against its respective pairs, the stirrups previously loosely positioned become rigidly positioned in the vertical and at right

angle, enabling welding operations with equipment with detachable head 21 fed by supply 22, fixed in a gyrating arm 23, with the aid of a gun connected to the cables, welding, preferentially but not exclusively, all crossings between lengthwise and crosswise elements, in which said union is necessary for a perfect performance of the assembly' s welding.

It is worth explaining that a typical assembly line may have more than one gyrating arm 23 with its respective detachable head 21 and welding gun.

In a second alternative for assembly of cut, bent products to be reinforced, there is an assembly bench model 24 that enables mounting armatures for any type of pillar, beam, base plate, block, stake and drum among others, for any spacing between crosswise elements, allowing positioning with spacing between stirrups varying from cm to cm, positioning them as specified for later welding with the longitudinal bars, thus forming the armatures for structural parts in the dimensions specified in the works' design.

It is also worth pointing out that this assembly bench 24 comprises two side members 25 supported and welded in trestles, with perforations 26 distributed from centimeter to centimeter, with cone guides 27A to facilitate entry of the positioning fork 27 and stop for crosswise elements, as well as the mobile gantry 28 supported on the rollers 29 in a second structure 30 made up of tubular profiles with rectangular, square or some other

section, exterior to the longitudinal girders that position the vertical stirrups, which enables its free displacement throughout the bench's length.

Furthermore, it must be stated that the movement of the positioning fork 27 and stop of the crosswise elements (the stirrups) is done by pulling the cord system 31 and set of pulleys 32 by means of the lever 33.

Finally, it is important to stress that the Systems presented herein are liable to suffer changes in their technical configurations and/or in function of the physical space available in the installation site .

In view of all that was described and illustrated above, it can be seen that the System for Serial Line for Cutting and Bending of Steel Bars, Rods and Coils for Manufacture of Stirrups and Longitudinal Girders as well as Assembly of Steel Armatures for Beams, Pillars, Base Plates, Blocks, Drums and other Structural Elements of Reinforced Concrete 1 fits perfectly into the standards governing the Invention Patent, due to filling an important gap in the market, even more for enabling increase in productivity and reduction of direct and indirect costs in this type of service, thus meriting the respective privilege.
